L'aqua Beauty
Acrylic on canvas
42 x 21 in

This painting is second in the series of collectible “Beauty” paintings. The mythological theme of the women represents the nature itself. The main subject borrows the universal theme of mythical female figures with hair adorned with flowers and facial perfection though the painter did not refer to any specific literary sources.

The principle sensation derived from this composition is of an abstracted romanticism reflected in curvilinear and plainer approximation of the feminine anatomy and in the pale skin colour emanating a tender rose and bluish aura. .

It shows a women sleeping on a flower-covered pillow with blue silver surroundings. Her head rests on the pillow in tranquillity. Her face is turned towards the viewer and her eyes are closed. Her face is of immaculate purity and her features are young and soft. A rhythmic series of curved lines in the hair and face gives an exquisite elegance and grace. Her unusually shaped long hair adorned with flowers exhibits non-mortal qualities of the subject. Some of the gold leaves on the right side painted highlighted with 24-k gold paint add conspicuously a luxurious touch..

The artist invested in moral qualities to create a face that personify her notion of purity of our water resources. Her eyes are closed at the viewer revealing an expression of understanding of the condition that appears around her, thus the viewer becomes the subject of her attention in a moment of self consciousness and role reversal.
